I really hate to be the first negative review, especially being a writer/YouTuber myself, but as a Husky owner too, I felt this book really lacked what it had promised. I bought it, thinking I would get breed-specific info. Most of it, however, was just generic dog training/puppy life with the word Husky tossed in. There were maybe 5 paragraphs that actually touched on Husky-specific traits, but everything from potty training to crate training to grooming were almost identical to generic info free online.A lot of the info about a Husky's personality was barely touched on, and the unique training styles they require, understanding of their behavioral traits etc. He would put in a sentence here and there, for sure, but most of the deep in-depth training was not specific to this breed, including handling their "drama," or their pack mentality, or even safety in the summer and special grooming for this breed.I just felt that a book promising to really go in-depth on Husky specifics was not what I got here. I gave him 3 stars, just for the few bits and pieces that were Husky related, but honestly, this didn't have as much Husky info as it should have/could have. A very easy to read and informative guide for anyone who has never had the privilege of having a Siberian Husky in their lives.As a couple who have always had dogs as companions since we were kids, we thought we knew how to raise a happy, well-behaved puppy ... then Lexie came into our lives when she was 4.5 months old😍. She's a beautiful, loving, affectionate girl who is as stubborn and strong-willed as can be.
